So last night it got to about 7pm and me and a friend were being particularly indecisive about whether or not to grace Guildford with our presence. We decided it had been too long, so we went for it. Minus the rest of our friendship group. (First pet peeve, its IMPOSSIBLE to get everyone out at once)

For me, the getting ready part is the most enjoyable. You watch face drastically improve right before your eyes, with thanks to your Real Techniques brushes, Benefit eye shadow pallet, and a good helping of John Frieda volumising hair mousse. Now the choosing what to wear part is the start of the stress for me. Now if you're like me and are on a tight student budget, you'll have the impossible task of choosing which of your few clubbing outfits you can get away with wearing YET AGAIN.
Skip to the actual going out part. As well as the people you go out with, the DJ makes or breaks your night. Thankfully last nights' was decent (well done MNG). However as the night progressed, the dance floor got so packed that having a dance became more of a mission than it should be. Cue drunk human skittles onto a sticky floor, yum. Then comes the overly drunk creepy guys thrusting in your direction when you have no obvious escape route. It got to a point where we gave up and migrated to subway instead, and sat in the car with tea and crisps. We then went home, watched films and fell asleep (Yeah we really know how to partay).
The final part of the whole experience is the worst. This involves getting home and realising that you now look like you've been dragged backwards through a bush. Next up is waking up in a fragile state (depending on how much you downed, or were forced to down by your mates), then returning home at lunch to a bedroom with an impressive floordrobe and hours of sorting clothes ahead of you. Luckily this afternoon this task wasn't so hard without the horrific headache.
In conclusion, last night just made us realise that maybe we had spent a bit too long going to Casino, and that maybe we should venture further. Maybe then I would have a more love than hate relationship with the whole thing. Some of the hate parts are unavoidable, but I suppose this always makes for a much more entertaining evening. On the plus side, at least my lashes stayed on all night, and who needs to spend £60+ in Topshop when you can spend £7 on a dress and still get compliments from drunk girls in the toilets?!
